How can I watch the films of the Pelíkula Festival 2021?
The contents of the Festival are all free. The PELíCULA events and webinars are accessible in any country.
However, the films (feature films and short films) are exclusively available to viewers in Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines and Australia. To be able to watch them, you only need to click on the film that you want to watch. In doing so, a window will appear in which you must enter your email. After a few minutes, you will receive a virtual invitation sent to your email address that will allow you to access the film.
The films are available only for 48 hours from the beginning of their accessibility and according to the time zone of each country (Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines and Australia). Remember that the film’s broadcast will be interrupted 48 hours after the start of its availability online.
In what languages are the films available?
The films of this festival are available in their original versions with English subtitles.
What minimum requirements do I need to watch the films on my device?
Pelíkula films may be viewed from different devices: computers, tablets and smartphones.
The minimum connection required for computers is 1Mb. For tablets and phones using 3G technology, it is necessary to have data rate subscription from your telephone company provider with the rtsp protocol enabled.
System requirements:
Windows:
- Processor of 2.83 GHz or higher compatibility with x86 or an Intel® Atom ™ processor of 1.6 GHz or higher netbooks.
- Microsoft® Windows® XP (32-bit), Windows Server® 2003 (32-bit), Windows Server 2008 (32-bit), Windows Vista® (32-bit), Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit), or Windows 8 (Classic and Modern).
- Internet Explorer 8.0 or later versions, Mozilla Firefox 4.0 or later versions, Google Chrome, Safari 5.0 or later versions or Opera 11.
- 512 MB of RAM (1 GB of RAM is recommended for netbooks) and 128 MB graphics memory.
Mac OS:
- Intel Core ™ Duo processor of 1.83 GHz or higher.
- Mac OS X v10.6, v10.7 or v10.8.
- Safari 6.0 or later versions, Mozilla Firefox 30.0 or later versions, Google Chrome 41.0.

Which browser is the most suitable for watching the Festival films?
Online streaming of the films works with all major browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Edge, and Opera.
The online streaming system also works with the latest version of Safari. However, we have encountered some problems with some of the previous versions. If you are a Safari user, we highly recommend that you update your browser.
From where can I watch the Pelíkula films?
From anywhere in the Philippines, Malaysia, Australia and Thailand, as long as you have an internet connection that meets the minimum requirements.
In what quality the available films of Pelíkula can be seen?
The films hosted in Pelíkula are available in various qualities. The system switches between different qualities of the same video depending on the available bandwidth. If you prefer, you can also manually choose between the different qualities available yourself.
Will I be able to burn the movies to DVD or download them to my computer?
No. The content available in the Film Festival’s website can only be viewed via the online transmission mode.
Can I buy the movies?
No. The films that can be viewed in Pelíkula are only available for free viewing online.
How long do I have to watch a film?
The feature films will remain open for viewers in Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines and Australia only for 48 hours, starting from the date and time indicated in the official calendar. For the broadcast date of each title, please consult the calendar or the file of each of the films.
